Product Managers Tools :
Quite a few PMs from our community have reached out to check on the different tools I make use of for infographics and in general for day-to-day activities.
These are my go-to tools :
1️⃣ Miro: I became a huge fan of Miro and have been consistently using it for the last 4 years.
It is an effective collaboration tool where multiple people can work on the same components and real-time experience holds good.
Some key features include :

➡️ Templates and Frameworks
➡️ Customization and Integration with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Trello, and Google Workspace
➡️ Security
Best with Mind Maps, Org Charts, Driving strategic Initiatives (Product Road-mapping), Downloading as images, PDF etc
2️⃣ Lucid Software Charts: Another fantastic collaboration tool I rely on for making visual representations and rely on real-time inputs from my colleagues.
Have been using Lucid Charts for more than 5 plus years now and the regular updates keep us amazing.
Key features include :
➡️ Versatile diagram types: Flow charts, networks charts, swim lanes, wireframes etc
➡️ Integration: Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite, Slack, Atlassian products suite and Lucid Charts easily get integrated
➡️ Templates: Huge library of templates including flow charts, mind maps, UML Class, Gantt Chart, Sequence Diagram, Business Model Canvas and many more
➡️ Export Share and embed: One can export images as PDF Visio or PNG and embed them in documents for easy accessibility
Best for sequence diagrams, flow charts, Swim lanes, Business process flows etc
3️⃣ Product Documentation :
➡️ For my documentation, I have mostly relied on Google Docs, Microsoft Office (Word, PPTs, Excel) and others based on the type of work.
➡️ I have also used Canva designs for presentations and they have an amazing set of templates collection
➡️ Also use Confluence to make internal notes
4️⃣ Market Research, Ideas & Feedback :
For market research, we need to understand and learn from our customers about our products and areas to improve
➡️ In order to get these details we have to have surveys, 1-on-1 interviews, Focus Group Discussions and others
➡️ Tools set include: SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Google Analytics etc
5️⃣ Tasks, Testing, Collaboration and other tools :
For day-to-day task management tools like Atlassian Jira, MS Visual Studio, Asana, Trello, Salesforce GUS, ServiceNow SPM etc
➡️ For user testing (A/B) and drawing insights I go with ServiceNow Appsee, Adobe Analytics etc
➡️ Collaboration Tools Include: MS Teams, Slack, Zoom
➡️ Other Tools include: Microsoft Visio, Figma, Smartsheet and many others
Pro Tip: Do remember these are tools to get your work done in a polished way not a means to product thinking or mindset
A pen, paper or a whiteboard would equally complement the way we would like to communicate with our stakeholders 📝 ✏️
